Super Smash Bros. is Coming to Switch With Fresh Newcomers

Today’s Nintendo Direct had a smashing finale, with a reveal of a Super Smash Bros. game for the Nintendo Switch. It will be releasing this year and will star the Inklings from Splatoon! Not much detail was given, but Masahiro Sakurai will be returning to the driver’s seat for the new game and Link appears to be using his Breath of the Wild design, so it’s possible that returning characters will be revamped. Watch the reveal trailer below.

No amiibo functionality has been confirmed yet, but I don’t see them putting the biggest line of figures to waste.
