Fire Emblem Warriors Awakening DLC Characters Gameplay

The final DLC pack in Fire Emblem Warriors‘ Season Pass has been released which contains three characters and three new History Mode maps to play through, all drawn from Fire Emblem Awakening. Here’s a look at the three characters included in the Awakening DLC – Owain, Tharja and Olivia.

Owain appears as an enemy commander within the base game’s content who uses Ryoma’s moveset, and this doesn’t change now that he’s playable. His main moveset is the same as Ryoma’s, but he has different Warrior and Awakening special moves. He also comes with the signature skill Resonating Power, which boosts the damage of a character’s attacks based on how close their Strength and Magic stats are. Owain’s Strength and Magic are exactly equal, which means he gets a big boost from having this skill equipped.

Tharja is a fan-favourite character from Fire Emblem Awakening, so there’ll no doubt be a lot of people excited to get the chance to play as her. Tharja’s moveset is almost the same as Robin’s, but in addition to new Warrior and Awakening special moves her Strong Attack VI is also different. Tharja’s Warrior Special has a unique gimmick to it as well – it’s the life-draining spell Nosferatu, which heals Tharja based on how much damage she deals with it. Tharja’s signature skill is Vengeance, which constantly drains your health but boosts your attack power more the less health you have remaining. This skill won’t drain your health to 0, it will leave you with at least one health point. Since you can’t die in Awakening mode it would be good to pair this skill with skills that fill your Awakening gauge faster.

The final character in this DLC is the incredibly shy Olivia, who has a completely new moveset not based on another character’s. Olivia is a dancer, and this is reflected in a special move that boosts the support level between nearby characters and also refills their Warrior and Awakening gauges. She has a low Strength stat but an incredibly high Luck stat, which means she can make great use of skills like Lethality and Luna. Olivia’s signature skill is Galeforce, which fills up a portion of your Warrior and Awakening gauges each time you defeat a strong enemy.

The Awakening DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors is out now, and can be purchased by itself or in a season pass along with the Fates and Shadow Dragon DLC packs.
