The Oni Evolution Update for Yo-kai Watch 2 is Now Available in Australia
Friday’s eShop update included an exciting surprise for owners of Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls – the Version 2.0 update for the game was pushed live, which adds in some new content and prepares the game for communication with the third version of the game (Psychic Specters) that’s out this week. You’ll be prompted to update when you start the game, but if you’re not then you can find the update on the eShop and download it manually. Psychic Specters includes this content without the need for an update.
Once you’ve updated the game you’ll be able to find two new Yo-kai hidden in the world. Once you’ve gotten the D rank Yo-kai Watch Snottle will appear in a random location in the world each in-game day. Fight him and feed him some snack items and he might decide to join you afterwards. Beat the game and then you’ll be able to find an S Rank version of Jibanyan, Komasan or Komajiro depending on which version of the game you’re playing. Jibanyan S can be found in Bony Spirits, Komasan S in Fleshy Souls and Komajiro S in Psychic Specters.
This update also enables you to transfer your save data to Psychic Specters and also connect the three different versions of the game in order to unlock new bonuses. Linking Bony Spirits and Psychic Specters will unlock a new dungeon where you can find Rubinyan and Gargaros. Linking Fleshy Souls and Psychic Specters unlocks a dungeon with Topanyan and Ogralus inside. Linking all three games together unlocks a third dungeon, where you can find Orcanos, Sapphinyan, Dianyan and Emenyan. You’ll also be able to find Moximous N or Moximous K in Harrisville depending on which gender character you’re playing as. Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls will now be able to play the new Psychic Busters mode, and playing this mode with a Psychic Specters player will allow everyone to fight version-exclusive bosses.
