Conga Master Party amiibo Costume Guide

Conga Master Party hits the Nintendo Switch dancefloor on September 28th, but we’ve gotten our hands on it a bit early to bring you a review of the game and also a breakdown of its amiibo functions. For a look at each individual costume you can take a look at the video below, while you can keep reading for more details on amiibo compatibility.

There’s 12 amiibo costumes to be unlocked in the game, one for each of the first 12 characters in the game. They’re not based off Nintendo characters, but they’re some weird and cute new outfits for them to wear. To unlock them, press the X button on the character select screen, and then tap a compatible amiibo when prompted. Costume unlocks are permanent and you can switch between the default and amiibo costumes by highlighting one of the first 12 characters and pressing the Y button.

Weirdly, not every amiibo is compatible with the game but most main series of amiibo will work. I did some scanning and found that any of the amiibo from compatible series will work, and vice versa with incompatible series.
