LEGO Dimensions - Powerpuff Girls Lantern Constructs

It’s something that has been speculated for a long time now, but we now have official confirmation – the Powerpuff Girls will have a substitute for Supergirl’s Lantern Construct ability in LEGO Dimensions. Supergirl had an exclusive Lantern Constructs ability that was required to 100% complete the game which, given that she’s so hard to get was a real downer. She would have been accessible through the game’s Hire A Hero system, but that’s a bit of a lame compromise in a Toys to Life game. Thanks to Mark Warburton (one of the game’s producers) we now know that characters with physical figures will be getting the ability, so you’ll be able to solve Lantern Construct puzzles in due time so long as you can be patient.

Now, you’re probably thinking “Hey, I don’t remember the Powerpuff Girls having Lantern powers when I was a kid!” – and you’d be right! This is a new addition to their powersets in the rebooted PPG series. The girls can each create energy constructs that relate to their personalities. And now that we’ve seen Buttercup’s LEGO figure we know that the PPG content will be based off of the reboot, so all of this makes sense.

The Powerpuff Girls will be included in some as of yet unrevealed packs that will most likely be part of Wave 9. This wave hasn’t been given a release date yet.
