New Splatoon amiibo Announced – Callie, Marie, and New Inklings!

Talk about staying fresh! Splatoon still has legs (tentacles?). Nintendo have announced a new wave of Splatoon series amiibo that will be inking up stores in July. From July 9th you’ll be able to buy a 2-pack containing the two Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie, as well as a limited edition 3-pack containing recolours of the existing Splatoon amiibo.

The Squid Sister amiibo are used to spice up Splatfests with some new music and dance moves, while the recoloured Inklings and Squid presumably function the same as the existing amiibo, unlocking singleplayer challenges and equipment. You could also place the Squid Sister amiibo in a shrine in your house, to pray to during Splatfests #TeamMarie
