Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn Marches Onto the 3DS With amiibo Functionality

Nintendo have announced that Kirby’s Extra Epic Yarn (the 3DS re-release of the Wii game Kirby’s Epic Yarn) will be released on March 9th 2019 in Australia. This re-release features every level from the original game as well as new content like modes and minigames. The Japanese site for the game has also given some details on its amiibo functionality (thanks Cheesemeister3k for the translation).

You’ll be able to tap the Kirby, DeDeDe, Waddle Dee and Meta-Knight amiibo to unlock a new hat for Kirby that will give you a hat based on that character. This hat will give you access to the sewing ability at any time. You can use any amiibo of these characters (so they don’t have to be the Kirby series figures specifically).
