Kelp Dome Makes Its Return in Splatoon 2 Alongside New Content

Today’s Nintendo Direct has confirmed some new content coming to Splatoon 2 in the near future. The first is the Kelp Dome stage from the first Splatoon, which will be added into the game this Saturday (September 16th) at midday. Like other returning stages it’s been tweaked in order for it to stay fresh. It now has more grates that you can shoot and slip through, and both sides of the map have been given more inkable turf.

Some brand new content is also being added to Splatoon 2, but dates for these haven’t been given yet. Snapper Canal is a new stage with a river running straight through the middle of it. Play on this stage will revolve around finding ways to get over this and break through your opponents’ defences. A new weapon is being added as well – the Tenta Brella, a huge new Brella weapon that can block enemy fire over a large area.
