Hermione and Buckbeak Will Take Flight in LEGO Dimensions This Year

We’ve known there would be a Hermione pack coming to LEGO Dimensions for some time, but talk of it had quieted down since then, and the pack had become a bit of a mystery. At this weekend’s Harry Potter Celebration, however, this pack was shown off for the first time. Hermione will come in a Fun Pack alongside Buckbeak, Hagrid’s Hippogriff from Prisoner of Azkaban.

Her reveal trailer shows off some of her abilities, like Intelligence and Magic (though that one’s no real surprise). She grants access to the Harry Potter Adventure World like Harry and Voldemort do, and based off the trailer she will unlock the same Battle Arena that they do as well. That’s kinda strange since it’s been said every gold-tagged pack will unlock a new Arena, even if it’s a slight variation on another arena like Marceline’s was with Finn’s. This means that the previously stated number of 21 Battle Arenas is not indicative of how many packs we’ll be getting as part of Year 2 of LEGO Dimensions.

No specific release date has been given as of yet, the trailer just says she’ll be releasing in Spring (in the Northern Hemisphere). We’ll let you know if an Australian release date surfaces and when it’s inevitably delayed.
