The director of Fire Emblem Warriors, Hiroya Usuda, has revealed an interesting tidbit about the game. In this month’s issue of the Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream (translation via Nintendo Everything) Usuda has stated that while the Nintendo Switch version of game will normally run at 30fps in 1080p, it will include an option to drop the resolution to 720p in exchange for a boosted frame rate of 60fps. This is a welcome decision as higher frame rates make action games like this feel a lot better.

In the same interview it was also mentioned that you’ll be able to drop down from Classic mode to Casual mode in the game’s singleplayer story. Classic mode includes permadeath similar to how the main games do, whereas Casual mode does not. Switching from Classic to Casual will revive any fallen characters. You will not be able to switch from Casual to Classic mode though.

Fire Emblem Warriors launches October 20th for Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS systems.
