WELCOME!

Hi everybody!

My name’s Josh, and I’m the Supreme Overlord Founder of Mon Amiibo. I guess that makes me the Editor In Chief? That’s exciting! I’m getting business cards and putting that on them. Editor In Chief, teehee. Wait, were was I? Oh, right – welcome! Setting up a site like this is something I’d considered for a while, but never committed to. People were always asking me about Toys To Life stuff, and some told me I should set up my own blog, but I never bothered because I figured there were enough bigger sites doing exactly what I’d be doing and there wouldn’t be much point. But time went on, the requests kept coming, and I really wanted to get back into games writing since I’d barely done any since starting full-time work. So I figured “What the heck, I’m tweeting about most of this stuff regardless, might as well try to make some money off it help out a larger audience”. I needed to work out something that’d set me apart though, so started thinking about an angle I could take. I was browsing Reddit and thought “Why do these release calendars always just show when America’s getting things?” And then it hit me – why not give an Australian spin on things? Post Australian release dates, find the best Australian prices, discuss issues affecting the Australian Toys to Life market. Perfect idea! Then I spent weeks thinking of a pun to use as a site name setting up the site and planning out a content schedule – and now here we are, in what will hopefully be the start of a long and successful reign of terror happy time. I’m hoping to help foster the Toys to Life community in Australia by keeping you all up to date with the latest happenings and helping out newcomers to the genre. We’ll be covering all we can from the worlds of amiibo, Disney Infinity, LEGO Dimensions, and whatever else pops up along the way! And if all goes to plan we’ll be able to branch out into Skylanders in the near future (There’s no anti-Skylander agenda, I just haven’t played the games and don’t want to half-ass things or misinform people 🙂 ).

So… yeah! Have a look around, and check us out on Facebook and Twitter to follow along with what we’re up to, and give us some feedback on what you’d like to see in the future!

That’s all for now, I hope you guys enjoy the site 🙂

-Josh
