The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legend of Zelda amiibo Functions

During their E3 presentation, Bethesda unveiled a new trailer for the Nintendo Switch version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This trailer shows off several newly announced features, including motion controls and amiibo support. Tapping a Link amiibo onto your controller will drop a chest full of equipment that will make your character look just like Link from Breath of the Wild, including a Master Sword! There will also be some Legend of Zelda items included in the base game that do not require amiibo to unlock.

You’ll be able to use the motion controls in the Joy Cons to perform tasks like firing arrows and lockpicking. This gives the Switch version a point of difference from the other versions of the game. It’s still unknown whether features from the Special Edition on other platforms will be included, like mod support.

A concrete release date has yet to be given, but the Switch version of Skyrim will be releasing some time this year.
