Skylanders Imaginators – Wave 3 Australian Watch

Update: Solar Flare Aurora has supposedly had a stealth release, but there’s no word on the rest of Wave 3 yet. Likely a December 8th release alongside Mystical Bad Juju
Update 2: Big W are advertising more toys for December 8th, an image of their catalogue has been appended to the story.
Update 3 (Important):
We now have a pretty good idea of what toys will be launching on December 8th, so I’ve made a separate story to make things more clear because this one was getting a bit long and convoluted
Original Story:
So there’s some new Skylanders packs launching today, but as is the nature of this game’s releases, we can’t be 100% sure that we know what’s coming. Even on Day One of Imaginators‘ launch, there were about a dozen toys that just popped up without being advertised. So far we know of two packs releasing, but it’s very possible that we could be seeing a stealth launch of the entirety of Wave 3.
What’s definitely releasing today is the Thumpin’ Wumpa Islands Adventure Pack. This pack contains Crash Bandicoot and Dr. Neo Cortex figures that work on every platform, not just PlayStation ones. These figures also unlock a Crash Bandicoot-themed level for you to play through. Big W are advertising this for $32, and EB are charging full RRP (shock horror!) of $39.95. As far as I know, Target haven’t advertised it yet but they’re selling the previous Adventure Pack for $32 so it’s safe to assume this one will be the same price there.
Accompanying Crash is the Christmas variant figure for this year, Jingle Bell Chompy Mage. This dresses up Chompy Mage in a St. Nicholas inspired outfit, and will be the first opportunity to play as Chompy Mage in Australia since the base figure isn’t available here yet. Only Target has advertised him so far (for $16), but he’s in EB Games’ system (at full price), and there’s confirmed sightings of him in Big W although I don’t know how much they’re selling him for. Big W’s normal price for Senseis is $15, so he could possibly be going for the same amount.
As for what could be releasing, there’s quite a lot more. Note that none of this is confirmed and at the time of writing none of it has been seen for sale in Australia today. If this changes I’ll update the post. Info and most images come courtesy of Dark Spyro and 4inCreation.

It seems more likely that these additional toys will be coming on December 8th, as EB Games have a listing for Mythical Bad Juju on that date. Image comes courtesy of Drawdler on Dark Spyro.
An image of a Big W catalogue have surfaced today (December 1st) thanks to Dark Spyro user gillgrunt32. This doesn’t show all the toys expected to be part of this wave, so it’s entirely possible we could have a few surprises pop up on the day. It does, however, confirm that the Enchanted Elven Forest Adventure Pack will be releasing December 8th, and that Legendary Pit Boss will be exclusive to Big W just like Legendary Tri-Tip was.
Phew, that’s a lot to take in! We’ll keep updating this post as more info on Wave 3 surfaces.
