Details on Resident Evil Revelations Series’ amiibo Functions

It’s been noted previously that the Switch versions of Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 on the Switch will have amiibo support, but we didn’t know what that was. A newly released trailer for the games shows off what amiibo will do in the games as well as a lot of other Switch-exclusive features like motion controls. It’ll even use the IR sensor! Remember that?

Scanning amiibo will give you items. It looks like they won’t be anything exclusive, rather random drops of things like weapons and ammo to help you out, so amiibo aren’t quite masters of unlocking.

Resident Evil Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available digitally from the Nintendo Switch eShop on November 28th in Australia, and will include all DLC and add-on content for both games.
