Activision Will Let You Order 3D Printed Figurines and Other Official Merchandise For Your Custom Skylanders

Ok this is really freaking cool. Activision have launched a site for an upcoming app called Skylanders Creator that will allow you to import your custom Skylanders from Skylanders Imaginators and order your own custom merchandise for them. You can get a T-Shirt with their beautiful mug plastered on it, a trading card that will summon them into the game like a traditional figurine, and get this – an actual 3D printed figurine of your Skylander that you can use with the game like any other figure. It says that this will only be in limited qualities and that availability will vary by territory, so here’s hoping that Australia doesn’t get left out. We’ll keep our ears open and update you if we hear anything specific.

Activision’s site has more specific information such as pricing and an FAQ that confirms useful things like the shirt not being functional and compatible with the game. The app doesn’t have a release date beyond “Coming Soon”, but Imaginators itself will launch here on October 13th.
