Zelda Breath of the Wild @ EB Expo

It was previously reported that the demo for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild at this year’s EB Expo would be extremely limited, and that EB Games would be contacting people who’ve bought Zelda games from them in the past about getting a session. This does appear to be the case, but Nintendo have thankfully revealed alternate ways of getting your hands on with the game. Brace yourselves though because it’s a tad complicated.

The first, main competition can be entered before you attend the show. It’s called “How Hyrule Are You?” and asks you to show your love of Zelda with a video, photo, poem, dance number etc. You’ll need to get your submission in by September 9th, so strap on your Pegasus Boots and get moving. You’ll need to provide proof that you’ll be attending the Expo, and indicate which sessions you’ll be attending so that you don’t get assigned a time for the demo that you can’t actually attend. UPDATE: We’ve had reports of the entry link not including the relevant info in mobile e-mail apps, so you might be best waiting til you can get to a PC.

There’ll also be two types of competition held during the expo that you can enter at the Nintendo booth. One is an Instagram contest of which there aren’t many details yet. The other is a Zelda-themed cosplay contest. Each session of the expo will host these contests, so you’ve got a chance to win no matter when you’re attending.

Finally, EB Games will be contacting select EB World members about getting a turn of the demo, which is likely referring to the selection process that Zelda Informer reported on previously. UPDATE: We have confirmation that these e-mails are going out (thanks Lila). The person who got the e-mail has bought more than 4 Zelda games from EB Games while I haven’t got any registered with my EB World account and did not receive an e-mail. You can view the e-mail and the competition entry page below

You can view more info on these contests on Nintendo’s site. Has this news got you more excited for EBX 2016?
