Looks Like the First Print Editions of Pokken Are Selling Out

amiibous have posted a picture on their Instagram of a new copy of Pokken Tournament that isn’t marked as including a Shadow Mewtwo card. It was stated that these cards would only be included in the first printing of copies, but we were unsure of when to expect the cards to be gone. Looks like in the US the game has sold enough for the first print to sell out, so if you were after this card it might be wise to grab a copy of the game as soon as you can.

First print copies with the amiibo card will still exist out there in the wild, so you might not have issues finding one over here. Lord knows how many ‘Day One’ editions of games sitting on shelves on Day 472. Searching a few retailers’ sites, it would appear that they’re all showing box-art without the card on it. But it’s hard to tell if this was a change, or if they’ve always been like this. However, something interesting is that Wayback Machine shows the EB Games listing of the game displaying the boxart with the card on it a couple of months back. But if you go to the listing now, it’s got the clear boxart. Hmmm *strokes chin*

We’ll let you know if we hear anything else, but we recommend you Extremespeed to a store if you’re wanting this amiibo card.

UPDATE: Yeah, the game appears to be out of stock in a number of places, and there’s a new print of copies showing up in stores. Hopefully no-one who wanted a card has missed out!
