February Loot Crate - Build

UPDATE (07/02/17) – So I’d been keeping up with r/lootcratespoilers in case the mystery of the Dimensions items leaked early, and some people had noted that Loot Crate’s tweets implied they would be in-game figures. I’d been browsing their replied on occasion to see if they mentioned anything, but I’d missed some important ones. Loot Crate have said the crate will contain a figure that is playable in-game but also that the item isn’t exclusive. Jason from the Inquirer series of sites has screencapped the tweets in case they go MIA:

Mystery boxes are always a gamble, so if LEGO Dimensions was the only aspect of the crate that you were interested in then it might be worth considering sitting this one out if you’d be disappointed by spending the money on something not exclusive. If worst comes to worst, crate items often appear in the Loot Crate Vault for purchase separately so you shouldn’t completely miss out if you don’t buy the crate. We’ve contacted Loot Crate to try and get some definitive answers since there’s a lot of people saying different things.

Original story:

The theme of February’s Loot Crates has been revealed – Build. Crates will contain merchandise and apparel from a number of franchises that all tie back into the central theme of ‘Build’. The contents of the Core crate might grab the attention of Toys to Life fans – this crate will contain items relating to Batman, Power Rangers, Tetris… and LEGO Dimensions.

Given the mystery box nature of Loot Crate we have no idea what the LEGO Dimensions items will be, however people have reportedly spotted a Facebook ad for the box that states you’ll receive “one of five exclusive Lego Dimensions items”. The Loot Crate site stated that there’s 4-6 items in each month’s box, with $45+ of retail value between the items inside. Before you get too worked up, I really doubt that there’ll be any exclusive characters or anything like that in the box. The reception to Green Arrow and Supergirl’s exclusivity was… less than positive, and TT Games have said they’ve taken the feedback on board. I don’t think they’re tone-deaf enough to then go and pop exclusive packs within a mystery box that you have to take a gamble on, to then only receive one of the five exclusive items. It’s more likely that it’ll be a T-shirt or character mask or something like that. It could be a cool bit of merch, it could be socks… who knows!

The standard Loot Crate costs AUD$39.40 for a single month, which includes shipping. If you haven’t subscribed to Loot Crate before, you can use our referral link to save $5 when you subscribe. Loot Crate have also said that the code SAVE10 can be used to save 10% off an order, but I’m not sure if that stacks with a referral discount. You can subscribe for multiple months to bring the monthly crate cost down a bit, but of course you’ll end up paying more in the long run so if you don’t think you’ll want any future boxes then that’s probably not a great idea.

You’ll need to place an order for the February box by February 19th, 9pm PT. As it gets closer to the cut-off date you should check out r/lootcratespoilers, as they often post the contents of each box beforehand.

Thanks Bricks to Life!
