Yo-kai Watch Trading Card Game Will Launch in October for Aussie Yo-kai Busters
UPDATE: EB’s site has updated with an October 13th release date, which is the same day as the release of Skylanders Imaginators and two days before the release of Yo-kai Watch 2. There’s no indication that these are EB Exclusive so you may be able to get them elsewhere as well.
Original Story: Keen Yo-kai Watch fans might have heard about a Yo-kai Watch Trading Card Game that launched earlier this year in the US. Well, the good news is that we now have confirmation that this TCG will be releasing in Australia pretty soon, so you can tell that Buhu to get off your back! These cards will launch some time in October, and it sounds like they’ll be exclusive to EB Games. EB Games will also be holding demonstration sessions later this month where you can learn how to play, but we’re currently waiting on specifics on when and where they’ll be held. If you want to get a headstart but don’t have a Castelius MAX to help you out, you can view Hasbro’s own how-to-play video to learn the basics.

Starter Decks contain all you need to play, with a pre-made 40 card deck and a playmat, while Collector Boxes contain four 10-card booster packs and can be used to store your cards. All starter decks and collector boxes come with holographic medals featuring the Yo-kai on the box with a TCG theme. Komajiro looks so happy to have trading cards to play with!
As with all the other Yo-kai medals, the medals included in the TCG packs can be scanned in the various Yo-kai Watch games and apps for bonuses. Will you be getting into this trading card game?
