Yo-kai Watch 2 Inspirits Aussie Shelves in October

Nintendo have confirmed that Yo-kai Watch 2 will be releasing on October 15th 2016 in Australia. Thankfully a Noway hasn’t blocked this release, which is only a little over two weeks after the US release date of September 30th. There will also be new Yo-kai Watch merchandise releasing February 2017, although ‘new’ is probably just referring to the things that America has had for a few months now.

Yo-kai Watch 2 releases in two versions, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, so beware of pesky Spenp trying to make you purchase both. Each has its own exclusive Yo-kai you’ll need to trade with the other version, like in that other monster-collecting game, but otherwise there aren’t major differences between them. In the US there’s different bonuses depending on whether you buy the game physically or digitally, but there’s no word yet on whether that applies here.
