The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legend of Zelda amiibo Functions

Bethesda had a strong showing in today’s Nintendo Direct, revealing Wolfenstein II and DOOM for the Nintendo Switch and also showing off the previously revealed Skyrim port. The Switch version of Skyrim will have amiibo support – tapping amiibo will drop a chest of loot in front of you, and if you use a Legend of Zelda character’s amiibo then there’s a chance this chest will include Switch-exclusive items based off Link’s equipment in Breath of the Wild. It was today confirmed that these Zelda items aren’t locked behind amiibo, and will actually be available by finding them hidden in chests across Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim launches worldwide on November 17th for the Nintendo Switch.
