28th March Prices

Hey guys, how was your long weekend? Really? That’s good to hear! Well, because of it I totally forgot that I should write a price guide for this week! #NoMercyMarch has a few days left with which to milk us dry, and despite there being no new releases this week there’s some incredibly tempting deals.

Target’s advertising a big deal on amiibo – $10 each! This discount applies to single figures, so the Splatoon and Animal Crossing 3-packs aren’t included. The Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo is also excluded, no surprises there. This is a great opportunity to pick up any figures you’re currently missing.

They’re also advertising a bunch of amiibo-compatible games at decent prices, including:

Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival – $49

Super Mario Maker – $64

Mario Party 10 – $49

Pokken Tournament – $74

Target amiibo and Games

If you’ve yet to jump on board the current generation of consoles, Target also have a deal which will get you a 1TB PlayStation 4, the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, and Tearaway Unfolded, all for $499. Based on past console bundles, this deal is likely to go fast, so you should try to get into a store first thing tomorrow morning if you want it. If you want to grab some extra Dimensions packs to go with it, their regular sale prices on them will still be valid. Which, for reference, are $20 Fun Packs, $30 Team Packs, and $38 Level packs. Their Infinity deals from last week will remain valid as well. We’ll provide screencaps and page links once Target post their catalogue online. Thanks Aaron for the heads up on the catalogue!

Target PS4 Bundle Target LEGO Prices

Over at Big W there’s some good deals on Infinity and Dimensions toys. The catalogue advertises 20% off all LEGO Dimensions packs and a whopping 40% off all Disney Infinity toys (excluding the Marvel toys that released last week, which will presumably keep the same prices). I’ve been told that this discount is applied to the RRP, not Big W’s usual price, and I’ve calculated what you should expect to pay for each variety of toy (give or take a few cents because of rounding and the like).

Disney Infinity

Big W Infinity Deal

Figures – $10.80

Playsets – $24

Power Discs – $7.20

LEGO Dimensions

Big W LEGO Deal

Fun Packs – $20

Team Packs – $32

Level Packs – $40

So while the Infinity prices are pretty great, their Dimensions ones are actually worse than Target’s prices. They just sound better at first glance because 20% sounds huge. However, in addition to these deals they’re advertising the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack for $109, which is the lowest it’s been in a while.

Big W Starter Deal

Ozgameshop have been playing around with the prices of their LEGO Dimensions toys recently as well. The prices vary from pack to pack, but you can get some of the less popular ones a fair bit cheaper than other stores. Keep in mind that you’ll need to factor in shipping costs but if you spend $50 or more you’ll get free shipping, and all purchases give rewards points that can be redeemed for store credit. The stand-outs are Unikitty for $15.39 and Emmett for $18.89.

Target’s catalogue starts tomorrow on the 30th of March, while Big W’s starts on the 31st. These are some pretty cool prices, but will they tempt you to splurge?
