New LEGO Dimensions Characters Leaked?

A new update for LEGO Dimensions went live recently, but people weren’t sure what it added. Dataminers have pulled it apart, and supposedly found two new fully playable characters in there – Supergirl and Green Arrow. A reddit user posted some pictures of the two characters in the game, which you can see below.
They were less than forthcoming with details, however, and their account has now been deleted so they won’t be posting any anytime soon. Another user, repeatedly_once, has also stated that they’ve used the characters in the game, describing their abilities and also stating that Supergirl has interactions with Superman and a few other characters. Green Arrow sounds like a Legolas clone (boooo), while Supergirl can use Red Lantern powers, as well as some powers that Wonder Woman and Superman also possess. Those pictures are the only real evidence of the characters in-game so far because leakers, both legitimate and fake, are always allergic to video footage. If anything else is posted we’ll let you know. UPDATE: Bricks to Life found a YouTube video that shows Supergirl and Green Lantern in action. I would’ve been skeptical except there’s actual voice acting.
I wasn’t originally going to post this because the evidence was iffy at best, but a discovery by redditor RampersRamps gives some more credibility to the leak. If you use LEGO’s support for missing/broken pieces and go to the page for Dimensions’ Starter Set, it now contains pieces for a Supergirl minifigure. These pieces look just like the minifigure that appears in the screenshots, and as user redBorgie points out, the hair that this Supergirl minifigure uses is different to the minifigure that appears in the DC LEGO sets.

So assuming that these characters have legitimately appeared in the game’s data, their existence is interesting. Currently we don’t know anything about characters post-Wave 5, so how will these ones be delivered? Will they be added to the Wave last minute, or will they be released as part of a ‘Phase 2’ for the game? Or maybe they won’t be released at all, and they were cut characters who were accidentally added into the game with the latest update?
As with any leak, it’s always best to take it with a few grains of salt so that you’re not disappointed. With the video surfacing, I have no doubt that these characters definitely have data in the game. If they’re going to be future packs then that’s really disappointing as they don’t seem to be unique characters, and only open up the DC Comics Adventure World which we’ve had access to since the Starter Pack. They could be cut character that accidentally added in with the update. We know that if you look at the list of Set Numbers there are some numbers that are skipped, and I wouldn’t be surprised if WB have seen that unnecessary characters sell a lot less than those who add significant value to the game. Of course, they could also be unfinished, or the player just doesn’t know about all their abilities. I’d definitely be more inclined to buy Green Arrow if he has an assortment of trick arrows to use. But the biggest question remains – WHERE’S THE FLASH!?
