LEGO Dimensions Wave 9 Details and Screenshots

Wave 9 of LEGO Dimensions has finally been announced! This wave will launch on September 13th in Australia, and will contain 5 packs featuring characters and gadgets from The Powerpuff Girls (the rebooted series), Teen Titans GO! (also a reboot) and Beetlejuice (not a reboot, and don’t you go getting any ideas, Hollywood). If rumours of the cancellation of Dimensions’ third year of packs prove true, then this will be the last wave of packs for the game.

From the world of The Powerpuff Girls you’ll be able to buy a Team Pack with Blossom and Bubbles minifigures, as well as builds of the PPG Smartphone (which can be rebuilt into the PPG Hotline and the Powerpuff Mag-Net) and the Octi (which can be rebuilt into the Super Skunk and the Sonic Squid). There’ll also be a Fun Pack containing Buttercup and her Blast Bot, allowing you to complete the iconic trio. The Blast Bot can be rebuilt into a Ka-Pow Cannon and Slammin’ Guitar. These packs will each unlock a new Powerpuff Girls-themed Battle Arena, and will also grant access to the Powerpuff Girls Adventure World that features locations like Pokey Oaks Elementary, Rainbow Land, and Professor Utonium’s Lab.

Teen Titans GO! will also have a Team Pack and Fun Pack available. The Team Pack will net you Beast Boy and Raven minifigures, who come with builds of the T-Car and the Spellbook of Azeroth. The T-Car can be rebuilt into a Forklift and T-Plane, while the Spellbook can be rebuilt into Raven Wings and the Giant Hand. The Fun Pack will feature Starfire and her Titan Robot, which can be rebuilt into the T-Rocket and the Robot Retriever. Each pack has their own Teen Titans GO! Battle Arena, and will unlock the Teen Titans GO! Adventure World, where you’ll be able to visit locations from the show like Titans Tower and the Wacka Doodles Amusement Park. These packs also possess a unique feature – they’ll unlock a Teen Titans episode that explains how the characters relate to the story of LEGO Dimensions. If I had to wager I’d say that these are a collection of cutscenes from a scrapped Level Pack. Don’t forget, in the Teen Titans GO! world your Cyborg figure will turn into the animated version of Cyborg from the show, just like Batman turns into LEGO Movie Batman in the LEGO Batman Movie Adventure World.

The final pack is a Beetlejuice Fun Pack that will add the titular character into the game (you don’t even have to say his name three times!). Beetlejuice will come with the Saturn’s Sandworm vehicle that can be rebuilt into a Haunted Vacuum and Spooky Spider. This pack will also unlock a Beetlejuice Battle Arena and Adventure World.

All five of these packs will release on September 13th in Australia. It’s quite a wait, but fans of each franchise will no doubt be glad to at last explore these worlds.
